One of the oldest forms of marketing, catalogues are still a success today. Despite the great strides being made in technology, it seems that customers still enjoy sitting down and thumbing through a good-quality catalogue, relaxing as they weigh up their options in their own home in their own time. 

And it clearly works: an estimated 167 million consumers in the US made purchases from a catalogue in 2009, with consumer and business spend reaching an astounding $150billion (Catalog Solutions). Proving the line Add Print, Add Power, the reason why such retail brands use catalogues is that they work well with their online shops and call centres – people browse at home before going online or picking up the phone to place their orders.
