About the Australian Catalogue Awards
The Australian Catalogue Association was formed in 1992 and represents the producers, printers, distributors and suppliers to the catalogue industry. The Australian Catalogue Awards were first initiated to encourage the stakeholders in this fragmented and highly competitive industry to band together and provide a forum for catalogue designers and advertisers to improve their art. While individual categories of this year's Awards have been well supported, it is important to also note the ongoing financial assistance of our patron members, without whom the Australian Catalogue Association would not exist. The charter of the Association is to both promote and protect the catalogue industry. The companies acknowledged throughout this book have an ongoing investment in the future of the catalogue industry and believe avidly in the need to maintain a strong body to encourage an ongoing improvement in design and selling effectiveness. Not only that, but ecological considerations come into play in this traditionally paper-based medium, and the Association's self regulatory arm, the Distribution Standards Board, works closely with regulators to maintain the freedom of letterbox distribution. Our 18 members, many of whom have been continually involved since the Association's inception, deserve your support. Please consider the patronage that is generously provided as insurance for the ongoing viability of your business.
